Getting to NOVA Open 2024

Whether traveling with a group or solo, getting to any convention requires some prior planning. This year, we have negotiated a reduced parking rate with the Washington Hilton for NOVA attendees (Even if you are not staying at the Hilton). However, it is unlikely that they will be the least expensive option or that they will have enough for all the attendees. One thing we want to stress is that once you are at the convention, you will not need your car until you leave. So, consider leaving it at home to save time and money! And at the very least carpooling.

Check out these options in addition to the hotel parking:

  • Metro: The Hilton is very close to both the National Zoo and the Dupont Circle Metro stations.  There is Metro service from Amtrack/Union Station, as well as Dulles and Reagan Airports.

  • Uber/Lyft: It is usually cheaper for DMV residents to ride in this way and back than to pay for discounted parking.

  • Spothero Website:  This is a live parking space availability and reservation website.

  • Park Mobile App: This app allows you to reserve and pay for street parking remotely.

  • Paid Parking Lots:  There is a dozen paid lots available within short walking distance to the Hilton.

  • Day parking at the National Cathedral or National Zoo.   About a mile walk but free all day.
